Imaginet Named "Great Place to Work" by CityBusiness

Business Wire - August 18, 2000

Imaginet LLC, an e-Services consultancy, announced today that it has been named a "Great Place to Work" in CityBusiness' Great Places to Work 2000 survey. The survey looked at Twin Cities companies between 20 and 500 employees; Imaginet was one of 11 only to receive the "Great Place to Work" distinction. The company also announced it has grown to more than 100 employees. Imaginet became a privately-held company in March 1999 with 38 employees when it left Imation.

"It's an honor to be named a `Great Place to Work,' and a validation of the environment we have all created," said Scott Litman, CEO for Imaginet. "Imaginet values passion, creativity and fun as much as hard work, and it has paid off. Our Convergence for e-Business strategy is driving revenue growth, and we've had to significantly expand our workforce to meet the increasing demand for our services."

CityBusiness randomly surveyed 20 employees at Imaginet. Employees were given eleven statements to rate on a scale from "strongly agree" to "strongly disagree." Some of these included: "My working environment is conducive to achieving my professional goals;" "I enjoy coming to work each day;" "I am fairly compensated for my work;" "I consider my office atmosphere to be a friendly one;" and "Those who are deserving of promotions are promoted within the company." The "Great Place to Work" award was based both on these attitude surveys and the employee benefits offered by the company. Advertisement

Litman said, "As we continue growing and expanding into new areas of e-Business, we are constantly aware that our most valuable asset is talent and energy our people possess. The best way to ensure that we attract and retain a superior level of associates is to continue fostering a rewarding, challenging and fun work environment."
